August 4, 2026 — Encountering God

This week we begin our year-round OCIA journey by reflecting on how God reveals Himself and invites us into relationship with Him. Together, we’ll learn the sign of the cross, meditate on the upcoming Sunday Gospel, begin Journey Through the Catechism, practice the heart of Catholic prayer: mental prayer, and take one concrete step toward a deeper life of prayer. The Week in the Life of the Church focus this week is the Feast of the Transfiguration on August 6th.
