September 15, 2026—The Life of Christ: Public Ministry, Part 2
This week we continue exploring the life of Jesus and what it means that the Word truly became flesh and entered our human story. We’ll look at how the Church’s liturgical year draws us again and again into the mysteries of Christ’s life, and why it matters that Jesus is both truly God and truly human.
The table of the liturgical year this week in Journey is REALLY cool and important. It's the whole reason the Church forms and immerses Catechumens in an entire liturgical year before being baptized and receiving the sacraments. It's the life we live and are formed by as Catholic Christians: Christ's life. He entered into history and sanctified time, and the entire Catholic life is rooted in His time.
Before Tuesday evening, please read Journey Through the Catechism, pages 47–58, including the table on page 47 and Questions 35 through the chapter summary. Bring your Gathering Guide and anything that catches your attention, raises a question, or makes you see Jesus differently!
